My passion for child passenger safety began somewhat unexpectedly, back in 2003 when I was expecting my first child. I happened to come across an ad from Safe Kids Worldwide, stating that 3 out of 4 car seats are misused. Already knowing that car crashes were a leading cause of death to children, I scheduled my seat check immediately!
As time went on, I became more fascinated by car seats. By the time my second child was a year or two old, I was determined to become a Child Passenger Safety Technician, and met that goal in June, 2011. The more experience that I got, the thirstier I became for more.
Parents and other caregivers often find the journey through car seats and boosters to be intimidating, frustrating, and confusing. In 2013 I founded Super Car Seat Geek with the goal of helping caregivers feel empowered rather than overwhelmed.
In addition to offering private car seat installation checks, booster seat checks, and seat belt fit checks, I also offer two types of Concierge Services (car seat/booster seat shopping services), and various community outreach services.
